The gremlins of Halloween seemed to have jinxed Lane 6 and after numerous breakdowns 4 players were left feeling very frustrated (one even decided to take the matter in her own hands………..the less said about that the better !!). The lane breakdowns were not the only frustration as it was half-term and Lane 3 suffered from the ‘bowlers from hell’ next to them. Meanwhile at the other end of the alley a party was going on and gas-filled balloons danced happily on their strings.
In between all this we had the usual fun of bowling. There were 13 of us and not one of us bowled a highest score. Diane and Anne were still trying to bowl as instructed in their lesson but were both hopeless. Most bowled their average scores. Kim was top with 144 and Diane bowled the highest series with 364, Tony second with 347 and Peter B just 2 behind him.

It was great to welcome three new players to this 10 Pin Bowling session. Unusually two of the three were ‘lefties’ one of whom decided things were not going well with the left hand so changed to the right and did much better; he brought with it too his own unique style!
Suzie returned after a summer break and scored 113 in Round 1, the highest score of that round – quite low in comparison to previous weeks. The highest score of the day was 144 and highest series 393.
Congratulations go to Margaret as she was the only person to achieve a personal best highest with her series score of 279.
December bowling dates are Friday 13th with bowling 10.00 – 12.00 followed by lunch in Izumi and then we resume as normal on Thursday 9th January 2020.
