It was another successful session with 11 players, 5 men and 6 ladies, and it is really exciting to see so many improving either in their consistency or in achieving better scores. Undeterred by David taking photographs throughout the session – from the back, from the side and from the front – there were many successes and let’s hope, out of the hundreds he took, he too has had some success – such a difficult task with bad lighting, rolling balls and constantly moving people.
It was the men who proved to be the better players with Peter B becoming ‘king of the day’ with his high score of 150, the highest of the day, and he also beat his highest series by 70 points with 393. Not far behind Peter, bowling three consistent games was Tim with 144/388. His score was helped by a Turkey (3 strikes in a row) in frames 9&10 of the second game. Don too beat his previous highest series by 2 points and Tony now getting used to his new ball bowled with more consistency.
The team of the day was Peter B, Anne L & Don reaching 1003 over three games.
Well bowled everyone, you are such a good, fun group, see you on the 3rd October and come on ladies let’s see if we can beat the men next month
