After last month’s fine sunny day it was disappointing for this outing that it was damp and overcast and the butterflies, abundant last month, were keeping well out of sight along with the bees and ladybirds. The flowers were once again numerous and there was plenty of birdsong; some of which remain unidentified. The oak apples have lost their pink and white colour and are now quite inconspicuous. After the long dry spell the water in the dyke is low but the lake at Creeksea remains full and has a few gulls on it.
Our local area has so much to offer so why not come and join us on our next outing?
