www.u3a.org.uk (this is a link) is the website address for the Third Age Trust.
It is easy to register as a member. Select ‘create an account’ and follow the instructions which are very simple.
On the Members Area homepage follow ‘subject advice’ for hints on running groups and also making contact with subject advisers. There are also subject newsletters for art, creative writing, languages, philosophy and recorder playing (including music).
It is possible to borrow items from the resources section.
The publications of ‘Third Age Matters’ and ‘Sources’ which is the educational journal of the U3A, providing examples of best practice for group leaders, can be read.
You might like to select ‘events’ and sign up on the mailing list to receive email information about various national events which might be of interest such as concerts, talks, art gallery tours, and so on.
